Weecakie Flowers

The truth is I love flowers. I'm not an ultra-feminine flowery sort of person, but I love flowers. Most women would love a bouquet of fresh flowers, whether they come from a florist, the garden, or Weecakies, as long as the giver says "I love you." Might I suggest for MOTHER'S DAY this year, give your Mom a bouquet of Weecakie Flowers. They are sweet and refreshing and very unique. Your Mom will love you forever.

Your bouquet can be large or small. You could use a cup, a glass, a basket, or even a clay pot. Fill the container with Easter grass, or shredded paper, or even tissue paper all wrinkled up. Be creative and have fun. Your Mother will smile, and she will be happy because you remembered her. Happy Mother's Day :)

Coming Soon: Masculine Father's Day Weecakies (How's that for an oxymoron?) I need your help. What is your Dad's favorite flavor?

Triple Chocolate Weecakies

For the true chocoholic: a chocolate cake truffle, dipped in milk chocolate, then dipped and drizzled with dark chocolate. Mmmmmm.........triple chocolate decadence for your taste-buds. Top it off with a colorful chocolate flower and you have a melt-in-your-mouth treat. Get your chocolate buzz by having a Triple Chocolate Weecakie.

I've been experi"mint"ing on a Triple Chocolate Mint Weecakie..........and here it is. Sinfully rich chocolate mint cake truffle, dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in real chocolate sprinkles and topped with a dark chocolate leaf. Now my head is really buzzing :)

Lemon Weecakies

Citrusy and tangy fresh Lemon Weecakies are just the thing for the discriminating palate. Made with fresh lemon juice and zest, the taste is reminiscent of Shortcake Lemon Bars. The clean color of yellow, paired with the drizzle of white, topped with a yellow chocolate flower says, "Hello Spring! Come and stay awhile!" I'm done with snow - do you hear me? No more snow, especially on April 15 (Yes, we had snow that day).

The cruch from the cake sprinkles addes another facet to the Lemon Weecakie. They are festive and not quite as formal as the above Weecakie. Have a sunshine-filled day with Lemon Weecakies! Happy Spring :)

Coconut Weecakies

I am a nut, literally and figuratively. I love nuts (I get that from my Mom). I guess, technically, coconut is not really a nut, but then, maybe it is. Anyway, when my Daughter-in-Law suggested a coconut weecakie, I thought: "I like coconut." That thought was backed up when, over the Easter weekend, I had a piece of fantastic Italian Cream Cake with coconut.(Thanks Claudia) It gave me an idea...and TA-DA! I made coconut weecakies! The cake is made with coconut milk and butter and eggs and all of those wonderful ingredients that go into a cake. Then it is dipped in white chocolate, rolled in fresh coconut and decorated with a chocolate flower. OOOOO...creamy coconut cake truffle with more coconut on the outside. I am hungry. Hope you are too.

I Can't Sleep! (Origional post accidently deleted)

I'm re-posting these pictures that were part of my very first blog. Blogging is new to me and I accidently deleted them. Please bear with me while I figure this out. It's a good thing that we can keep learning new things, isn't it? Anyway, back to Weecakies.......

Chocolate Cupcake Weecakie

The origional design comes from Bakerella.blogspot.com. She was featured on thepioneerwoman.com last month and I thought that I would try to do these for fun. THEY WERE FUN! So then my mind started racing, and I have come up with some other ideas.....

Petits Fours Weecakie

White cake truffle dipped in white chocolate coating and rolled in white cake sprinkles, decorated with a free-form flowerbud out of white chocolate

Carrot Weecakie

Carrot cake truffle dipped in white chocolate coating, rolled in chopped pecans with a chocolate-formed carrot on top. Just the right reward for the Easter Bunny!

Fresh Strawberry Weecakies

Strawberries in the grocery store are one of the first signs of warm weather. The smell of ripe strawberries is equal to, well, I can't think of what it is equal to other than heaven. I love strawberries, so naturally I had to come up with a strawberry Weecakie. These ones
are very formal. They would be great on a dessert buffet, for your afternoon tea, or a special treat for a favorite someone.

Whimsical, with an added crunch from the cake sprinkles on the sides, these strawberry Weecakies would be perfect for a little girl's birthday party. The sprinkles are fun and inviting (and they get all over everything!)
Celebrate Spring and have a party with fresh strawberry Weecakies today.
